Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) provides innovative DSP and Analog technologies to meet our customers’ real world signal processing requirements. In addition to Semiconductor, the company’s businesses include Sensors & Controls, and Educational & Productivity Solutions. TI is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and has manufacturing, design or sales operations in more than 25 countries.
With 10 major locations and 19,500 employees in the US alone, the consolidation project in Attelboro, Massachusetts was an important project for TI. Combining several locations for 5% of TI's US workforce into one primary location required extensive strategic planning, as well as reliance on a manufacturer who could deliver on time and meet the stringent product requirements.
After extensive evaluations, AIS Matrix was selected as the product that would not only meet TI's budget objectives, but more importantly had unique design features that meant with one product TI could meet both private office and open plan workstation requirements. Incorporating the new floor-to-ceiling Matrix enhancement product called FIT, TI was able to utilize the system for all their private office and conference room applications. In addition, creative use of combined floor-to-ceiling with traditional workstation height panels allowed for seemless integration between working environments.
